The Road Test project invited three artists to respond to Ed Ruscha, Mason Williams, and Patrick Blackwell’s Royal Road Test (1967). The new work transforms the original’s men into women, its manual typewriter into a Macintosh Plus computer, and its Los Angeles setting and license plates into Ontario’s. The majority of the black and white images.
