Leveler is a silent kinetic work that perpetually seeks balance: two liquid level vials are embedded in the box’s top surface while four motors with off-set cams create a slow, undulating movement. Because each motor turns at one rotation per minute, the rhythm has an affinity to the body, referencing our resting heart rate of approximately 60 beats per minute. The glass level vials move at a slower rate than most everyday levels we encounter in tools, allowing better integration with the moving surface.
