Piper (Instrument), 2022

Piper follows in a lineage of sound sculptures where play and discovery set the stage for improvisation. With the potential to record up to 16 sounds, the performer can play two sounds simultaneously—one from each side of the instrument—while experimenting with a volume control that includes panning capabilities. Piper is both a sculpture and an instrument.

Eight buttons, each able to play any recorded sound and a volume control with panning capabilities, endless ways the instrument can be played.
